About The Position

Advocates for improvement in all areas of patient care and organizational processes. Coordinates and facilitates the use of quality improvement tools and techniques to engage staff in supporting the changes required to achieve performance improvement outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree (Associate or Bachelor) and two ( 2 ) years of performance improvement, data analysis, operations, or quality assurance.
  • Demonstration of sound judgment; project management and team building skills; ability to abstract and enter data and create spreadsheets, graphs, diagrams and presentations; skills in developing educational programs and presentations to a variety of participants; knowledge of health care regulations and accreditation standards; verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills; ability to draw accurate conclusions from analysis of data and information; ability to comprehend and integrate information system capabilities; ability to be self-directed and results- oriented; ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships as required in the work environment; ability to analyze and solve problems; strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data related to quality performance improvement standards.
  • Facilitates quality improvement teams to ensure projects progress according to established goals and timelines.
  • Tracks, monitors, and communicates project progress, providing alerts when barriers arise.
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools and techniques to redesign processes and enhance performance.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and delivers training and educational programs related to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performs quality reviews as required by CMS and TJC using the EHR.
  • Accesses and applies benchmark data and published research to identify improvement opportunities and promote best practices.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement to achieve sustained results and optimal performance.
  • Leads multiple QA/PI initiatives within and outside the primary department (MCES).
  • Manages ambulance coding, revenue, and billing collections for MCES transport teams.
  • Assists in the development, accreditation, and acquisition of continuing education (CE) credits for MCES courses.
  • Participates in Public Safety Support Division (PSSD) physicals, assisting with setup, patient registration, flow coordination, and revenue collection outside normal working hours.
  • Assists with grant-related report preparation.
