About The Position

This seasonal internship position is exclusively for MCCC students. The intern will provide support to the Building and Grounds Manager, undertaking a variety of tasks including general cleaning, grounds maintenance, building upkeep, and HVAC-related work.

Requirements

High School student with the ability to perform various duties under the direction of their Supervisor
Ability to obtain a work permit
Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
A motivated self-starter with strong time-management abilities
Able to work quickly and independently, handling multiple projects at one time and meeting deadlines
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve
Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with staff, students, and stakeholders
Record of excellent attendance
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with administrators, staff, students, parents, associates, vendors, and community members

Responsibilities

Assist the Building and Grounds Manager with related duties, including general cleaning, grounds maintenance, building maintenance, and HVAC work
Assist in light construction, general labor, flooring and tile removal, painting, etc.
Keep building and property clean and orderly
Perform heavy cleaning duties
Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors
Gather and empty trash
Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment
Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers
Clean and polish fixtures and furniture
