DatabricksSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

At Databricks, we are passionate about helping data teams solve the world's toughest problems - from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business. As a Corporate Operations (Corp Ops) MBA Intern, you will sit at the strategic nexus of our organization, connecting the dots across a diverse array of functions including Product, Sales, Finance, People, Legal, M&A, and more. This role blends high-level business problem-solving with analytical, data-driven rigor. You will operate as a versatile cross-functional athlete—translating company-wide strategy into operational reality, building out vital data-led feedback loops, and ensuring seamless collaboration across our most critical business units. If you are a builder who loves structuring ambiguous challenges, navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems, and using data to guide real-world execution, this is the role for you. During your 12-week internship, you will be mentored by a dedicated sponsor and have the opportunity to connect with senior leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: You will graduate in Spring 2027 from a top-tier MBA program. You have 3-5 years of previous professional experience in business operations, management consulting, strategy, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Balanced Technical & Strategic Skillset: You possess strong, proficient SQL skills and are highly comfortable navigating technical concepts and data sets. You use queries to find the "why" behind business hurdles, bridging the gap between highly technical teams and business strategy.
  • Dynamic Communicator: You are an excellent communicator (written and oral) who can seamlessly build rapport with technical Product managers, dive into the numbers with Finance, and speak the language of our Sales, Legal, and People teams.
  • Hands-On Problem Solver: You understand that "strategy" only matters if it can be executed. You don't just identify a gap in a business plan; you build the dashboard, checklist, or process to close it, no matter how small the task.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in enterprise software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Strategy & Execution: Partner with a wide range of stakeholders (Product, Sales, Finance, People, Legal, M&A) to drive complex, company-wide operational initiatives, strategic transformations, and long-range planning.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Dashboarding: Structure ambiguous business problems and conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis. Leverage SQL to pull performance insights, build operational dashboards, and find the "ground truth" behind business trends and operational friction points.
  • Feedback Loops & Operational Efficiency: Identify silos or friction points in how information flows across disparate departments. Synthesize insights from various internal teams to build lean processes and feedback loops that keep the organization aligned during rapid scaling or new program rollouts.
  • Executive Visibility: Provide clear performance tracking and visibility to the business (e.g., operational councils, ops reviews, productivity indicators). Synthesize complex information into clear, insightful takeaways and action-oriented recommendations for senior leadership.
