This role is for a professional completing their final year of an MBA program with no more than 3 years of pre-MBA experience, ideally from a Big 4 consultancy. Successful candidates will step into a high-impact, high-visibility role, working directly with senior leadership on initiatives defining Momentum's future. The MBA Associate will be part of the Momentum corporate team, connecting and elevating the portfolio, and working alongside senior leaders across finance, legal, people & culture, technology, and corporate development. Associates are matched to one of three areas: Strategy & Operations, AI Transformation, or Capital & Ventures. The Strategy & Operations track focuses on shaping and driving the firm's highest-priority initiatives, translating strategy into execution, building decision-making frameworks, and owning cross-functional workstreams.

Requirements

  • Has completed a full-time MBA program within the last year, or will complete by June 2026
  • Has 2–3 years of pre-MBA experience in consulting, finance, corporate strategy, or operations
  • Solves problems from first principles and moves from insight to action without waiting to be told
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, and can make complex ideas land for a senior audience
  • Is comfortable with ambiguity and energized by environments where the path isn’t fully defined
  • Works well across functions and builds trust quickly with people at all levels
  • Is proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with project management or data tools is a plus
  • Is based in or willing to relocate to Dallas (full-time, 5 days on-site at 2601 Olive Street)
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying AI tools, automation platforms, or workflow technology
  • Has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above

  • Background in private equity, corporate development, or multi-entity operating companies
  • Track record of leading cross-functional projects or change management efforts

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing complex business problems and translating ambiguity into structured, actionable plans
  • Designing and prototyping AI-driven workflows that reduce friction and improve how teams operate
  • Building financial models, investment analyses, and transaction materials for active opportunities
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives across Momentum’s portfolio companies from kickoff through delivery
  • Developing recommendations and presenting findings directly to senior leadership
  • Building the playbooks, frameworks, and tools that make the organization smarter and faster
