About The Position
EduTalent Group are hiring a Secondary Teacher of Maths for a prestigious British international school in Washington, USA. This role offers the opportunity to teach Maths across Years 7 to 13, including IGCSE and IB, in a supportive and dynamic international environment. You will deliver high -quality lessons that develop critical thinking, cultural awareness, and a love of learning, while contributing to a globally minded curriculum that encourages inquiry -based learning. As part of your role, you will actively promote the school’s vision, mission, values, and aims, ensuring students are supported to become confident, well -rounded “international citizens.” You will also play a key role in assessing and monitoring student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs, and contributing to the wider life of the school through clubs, societies, and community events.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Maths or a relevant field
- Minimum of three years post -qualification teaching experience
- Strong experience teaching IGCSE Maths, with exposure to IB or A Level desirable
- Experience teaching KS3 Maths and knowledge of the UK Curriculum
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a range of student needs
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain high standards of student behaviour and engagement
- Experience with assessment, tracking student progress, and using data to inform teaching
- Commitment to contributing to pastoral care and wider school life, including extracurricular activities
- UK passport holder and eligible to work in the USA
