About The Position

Cristo Rey Oklahoma City Catholic High School is seeking a qualified candidate to teach math in the 2026 - 2027 school year. Applicants are primarily responsible for the implementation and development of Cristo Rey OKC’s curriculum and the success of its students. This position will also plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. This position is required to convey the Church's message and to assist in carrying out the Church's mission. This position is required to uphold the standards of the Catholic Church in his/her day-to-day work and personal life. All employees are expected to be persons of integrity and must conduct themselves in an honest and open way, free from deception or corruption and in a manner consistent with the discipline and teachings of the Catholic Church. Requirements

Openness to teaching and exemplifying one’s faith at a Catholic high school
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
Teaching credential/certificate/license required
2 years of teaching experience including creating curriculum aligned to standards
Bachelor’s degree in education field or content area
Oklahoma teacher certification in the assigned teaching field or exemption from Senior Director of Catholic Education
General knowledge of the instructional process
Ability and willingness to work with children of all ages
Knowledge of and ability to use English correctly and appropriately
Computer skills
Ability to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards
Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards
Use assessment data and inform instructional practices
Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions
Provide consistent rewards and consequences for student behavior to establish and enforce rules of behavior for students in the classroom
Participate in an annual staff orientation and training
Prepare lessons, units, and projects to complete learning objectives in order to be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards
Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students
Encourage students to explore learning opportunities and career paths
Create, assign, and grade various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays, and projects
Work with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention
Develop lesson plans and successfully instruct students in your subject area
Convey the Church's message and assist in carrying out the Church's mission
