The Math Instructor at The Excel Center implements and develops the curriculum and ensures the success of its students. This role involves facilitating learning for students, meeting them at their current level, and employing a student-centered approach with grit, creativity, and innovation. Instructional strategies include direct instruction, one-on-one teaching, seminars, self-paced lessons, and online learning environments. The instructor is expected to use high-impact instructional practices and motivational techniques. The position collaborates with the instructional team to meet educational goals, adhere to Indiana State Standards, and continuously improve curriculum and instruction. This role is located on the northeast side of Indianapolis at the Shadeland Ave. Excel Center. School days are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with instructional days Monday through Thursday and flexible/preparatory days on Fridays. The Excel Center is a tuition-free public high school for adults, operated by Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., focused on raising education attainment levels in Indiana.
