About The Position
Winchester High School seeks a .8 Math/.2 Mandarin Teacher for a Leave of Absence beginning on or around March 9, 2026. You are the ideal candidate if you have experience designing and implementing standards-based lessons that engage students in Grade 9 math, AP Java, and Mandarin. You are both passionate about math and committed to meeting students wherever they are on their path towards mastery. For Mandarin, you create a student-centered, proficiency-based classroom and have knowledge of the ACTFL and Massachusetts World Language Framework. You have a growth mindset and are able to foster this thinking in others. You have experience employing a set of social and emotional learning strategies in coordination with other building-based staff that support the whole student. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid Massachusetts DESE certification in high school Mathematics. The ideal candidate is additionally certified in Mandarin Chinese. About Us: Winchester High School is a comprehensive high school that strives to meet the needs of all learners. WHS serves approximately 1,350 students in grades 9-12. Through engaging learning experiences that support the whole student, WHS prepares all graduates to be successful in their chosen path. Compensation: Sub Rates B-1 per diem/M-1 per diem
Requirements
