About The Position

The Mathematics Interventionist works closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to design and deliver individualized and small-group math interventions, using data-driven practices to close learning gaps and promote mathematical proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver small-group and individualized math instruction to students identified as needing intervention support.
  • Assess students' current levels of math achievement using a variety of diagnostic tools and formative assessments.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with student needs and academic goals.
  • Monitor and track student progress regularly; adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and instructional teams to coordinate intervention efforts and integrate support into classroom learning.
  • Participate in team meetings and IEP meetings as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and interventions provided.
