About The Position
The management services offered to our family of charter schools, allows us to collectively become a change agent and national leader in urban education as evidenced by student awareness of self, high academic achievement, positive school culture and community transformation wherever we serve. The Math Coach plays a pivotal role in enhancing the mathematical understanding and skills of students across various grade levels. This position focuses on developing and implementing effective instructional strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and needs. The Math Coach will collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment that fosters student engagement and achievement in mathematics. By analyzing student performance data, the Math Coach will identify areas for improvement and provide targeted professional development for educators. Ultimately, the goal is to elevate the overall math proficiency of students, ensuring they are well-prepared for future academic challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification in mathematics or a related subject area.
- At least three years of classroom teaching experience in mathematics.
- Previous coaching experience required

- Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with teachers and providing constructive feedback.
- The ability to design engaging professional development workshops is crucial for fostering a culture of continuous learning among educators.
- Experience working in an urban school environment.
- Acceptable criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and multi-cultural awareness.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Utilize proper discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
- Work well without close supervision and with little direction.
- Be able to solve problems independently and manage projects alone.
- Be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring teachers in a professional development capacity.
- Familiarity with current educational technology and resources for math instruction.

Responsibilities
