About The Position

Join Neb Doctors / Pumps for Mom, a growing durable medical equipment company, as a Maternity Insurance & Patient Support Specialist. This full-time, in-office role in Chattanooga, TN focuses on identifying and resolving insurance-related issues that prevent timely billing. This includes handling denials, correcting payer details, and ensuring orders meet billing requirements. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, insurance-savvy, and reliable—who can be counted on as a consistent on-site team member. Our Pumps for Mom division works closely with OB/GYNs, birthing hospitals, pediatricians, and patients to provide maternity products through insurance benefits.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of insurance workflows, denials, and payer-specific requirements
  • Dependable, punctual, and organized
  • Comfortable managing a queue of follow-ups and driving resolution independently
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare billing, DME, or insurance follow-up preferred
  • Salesforce and/or Bonafide experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and resolve insurance-related issues that delay billing, such as denials, incorrect plan information, or missing documentation components
  • Investigate payer-related escalations and take corrective action to ensure accurate and billable orders
  • Work to increase the clean claim rate by identifying patterns and proactively resolving issues before submission
  • Collaborate with billing and verification teams to clear revenue-holding problems
  • Serve as a coverage resource for intake or support staff when complex payer situations arise
  • Document all resolution activity accurately in applicable systems
  • Maintain a reliable and consistent in-office presence to support operational needs
