About The Position
Formlabs is seeking a Materials Technician to join their team, contributing to the development of groundbreaking professional 3D printers. The role is crucial for innovating in the expanding 3D printing industry by developing new materials that broaden the company's user base and applications. The materials science team collaborates closely with hardware and software engineers to create and troubleshoot new resins. The ideal candidate is an inspired, hands-on individual who enjoys laboratory work and is meticulous in data gathering.
Requirements
- Have at least one (1) year relevant laboratory or material characterization working experience
- Are safety-conscious and ready to actively promote safe behavior & lab operations
- Efficiently document, analyze, and share data
- Able to work in a self-directed environment to prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
Nice To Haves
- Experience with mechanical characterization of polymers or plastics
- Chemical wet lab or analytical lab experience
- Experience with 3D printing
Responsibilities
- Reliably execute materials characterization testing with meticulous documentation.
- Work with a team of diverse scientists and engineers to carry out experiments and support materials development.
- Effectively communicate status updates and results to the team.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
