THE WORK This role oversees manufacturing planning and material management across multiple functions, guaranteeing MRP integrity and inventory optimization. You will: Lead a team of union/represented material associates to execute commitments and deliveries, aligning efforts with production schedules. Manage inventory optimization initiatives that reduce cost and improve material flow, applying strong problem‑solving to maintain system integrity. Coordinate recruitment, selection, training, and performance assessments for subordinate staff, fostering a high‑performing workforce in a union environment. Oversee warehousing and shipping operations, ensuring timely delivery of parts to the floor and responding swiftly to shifting priorities or emergencies. Supervise daily production system performance, monitor schedules, and provide guidance to resolve issues, maintaining impact on overall manufacturing efficiency. Develop and implement process improvements for MRP transactions, driving effective solutions that enhance data accuracy and support strategic objectives. Requirements

Must be self-motivated, able to function autonomously, well organized, detail oriented and efficient under pressure.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, team building and problem solving skills.
Solid customer interface skills required.
Possess ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and emergency situations that could impact flow of parts to the floor.
