About The Position

Position Summary The Materials Supervisor role provides management of raw materials, including inventory and storage, while maintaining safe work practices. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Accountabilities Leadership, Management & Accountabilities Raw Material Management Cross-Training & Development

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of two years of materials or inventory leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
  • Experienced in or the ability to learn electrical knowledge for this job required under NFPA 70E electrical standard.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data/facts/drawings to support valid conclusions and to solve practical problems or deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
  • Using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a loud noise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the right people in the right seats within the department team to achieve ownership and accountability, providing day-to-day coaching and guidance to department team members to develop them to their fullest potential.
  • Manage the resin inventory by evaluating needs, make plans for storage & usage, & assist in vendor procurement.
  • Receive resins & make inventory adjustments within the ERP system.
  • Compete electric work as per job requirements and training under NFPA 70E electrical and arch flash requirements.
  • Coordinating with Accounting and doing root cause on large variances.
  • Coordinate with resin buyer on vendor quality issues.
  • Focus on cross-training, continuous learning and improvement.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
