HOURLY RATE: $27.69 POSITION SUMMARY: The role supports the Materials Management group by performing shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities) Work with the production teams for all projects in execution to insure the timely delivery of material. This requires simultaneously supporting multiple projects in multiple locations. Travel to the different production locations around the facility is required. Using Bill of Materials/Kitting list gather all required materials in preparation for production activity. Load/unload materials and finished products using forklifts, cranes, dolly cars, etc. Transport materials into fabrication area(s) as required. Go to production shops and attain status of in-house work, report status to appropriate parties. Coordinate with the warehouse and transportation to have material delivered to production sites, may include the kitting of materials using Bill of Materials or drawings. Supports inventory control process by performing inventory cycle counts and investigating variances. Supports all tasks related to warehousing including placing products in inventory locations, cycle counting, electronically moving material and gathering products from inventory locations for issue. JOB SCOPE: Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Material Handler operates within established parameters, but is encouraged to suggest process improvements. The individual is required to exercise sound decision making when dealing with multiple internal and external customers while continually focusing on safety and quality. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: The role reports to the Warehouse Lead. The person interacts daily or weekly with purchasing and material coordinators, warehouse, transportation, and shop production.
