As a Materials Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the boom assembly line by ensuring materials are accurately picked, staged, and delivered according to production schedules and customer demand.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of previous material handling experience preferred
  • Experience using an RF scanner preferred
  • Prior experience operating a hi-lo/forklift strongly desired
  • Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs frequently

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize boom assembly line orders to be picked according to schedule and customer demand
  • Accurately and efficiently perform picking tasks using warehouse equipment
  • Maintain proper first-in-first-out (FIFO) rotation of boom components
  • Place picked items in the boom assembly staging area and prioritize them with the appropriate flag
  • Monitor boom bays by moving empty carts into the staging area and placing new jobs into bays according to priority
  • Research and report issues or errors according to established procedures
  • Process parts requisitions for needed materials
  • Perform assigned daily and weekly cycle counts of boom components and report discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and events
  • Cross-train in other functions within the materials area
  • Demonstrate a willingness to assist outside the materials area when needed
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
