At Saab in West Lafayette, IN, you have the exciting opportunity to join a team that manufactures the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Materials Specialist who will work cross-functionally to analyze material flow, packaging and material shortages to provide solutions for greater operational efficiency. Responsibilities include: Lead development and manage data, storage, and replenishment strategy for direct Material components used in advanced manufacturing process Reduce operational costs through efficiencies gained with lean manufacturing concepts Independently select methods and techniques for obtaining and implementing Material flow solutions Maintain ERP system planning parameters to align with the material “Plan for Every Part “ (PFEP) strategy process Maintain required documentation outside the ERP system as necessary to support ongoing process monitoring and change management. Interact with internal and external customers on supply chain issues Troubleshoot and resolve material flow and operational issues related to supply chain issued Compile, analyze and present data from ERP system and spreadsheets for operational review Forecast material demand and inventory levels Contribute to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise and Support Contribute to the adoption of new design and development to improve overall material flow Other tasks and projects as assigned The compensation range provided is a general guideline.
