About The Position

Responsible for providing logistical support to the designated department through routine supply replenishment workflows. Primarily focuses on the daily receiving, breakdown, distribution and stocking of generic supplies of the Atlantic Health Investment Corporation department of AHS. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. 2. Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. 3. Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify. 4. Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation. 5. Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. 6. Prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping. Prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading. 7. Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage. 8. Performs work under direct supervision and handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or relevant area.
  • 1 year of experience working in Material Handling or relevant area.
