About The Position

Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, WaterFurnace designs and manufactures ultra-efficient, renewable-energy comfort products that provide heating, cooling and potable hot water solutions for use in both homes and commercial buildings. We employ more than 350 people in R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales roles across the US and Canada. For almost four decades, our Geothermal Heat Pumps, Water Source Heat Pumps, and Heat Recovery Chillers have been reducing energy usage consumption and increasing comfort in buildings around the world. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Job Description: Utilize ERP system to determine needed parts from suppliers. Utilize ERP outputs to release orders and adjust as needed. Ensure all orders are confirmed by the supplier Maintain proactive communication with suppliers Ensure supplier delivery commitments are met Monitor supplier performance and proactively escalate any concerns accordingly Maintain ERP system (safety stock calculations, lead times, part history) at the discretion of the SR. Buyer Perform daily review of critical inventory levels Work with material analyst on cycle count issues to determine root cause and corrective actions Coordinate supply chain related projects with the guidance of Sr Buyer / Manager, Collaborate with suppliers on expected demand Support Billing resolution with suppliers Compile and distribute reports at the prescribed schedule

Requirements

  • High School education
  • Skilled in use of planning logic (e.g. ERP, advanced planning systems), MS Office required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Collaboration skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Supply Chain or Materials Management experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills preferred
