About The Position

Emerson’s Test and Measurement Demand Planning Team is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Demand Planner (Level 4) to join our fast-paced, multinational environment in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across different business units, playing a critical role in driving our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field. MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain, or forecasting roles.
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple business units in a matrix or complex organizational structure.
• Proven track record of operating effectively in an S&OP-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret large datasets and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency with MS Office Suite and Power BI
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of the Business Unit (BU) Demand Framework: Oversee the end-to-end process for capturing, forecasting, and prioritizing demand within the business unit, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and resource allocation strategies
• Participate actively and effectively in the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and business strategy.
• Provide detailed analysis and reports to support decision-making, highlighting variances, trends, and forecast accuracy metrics.
• Make informed decisions and recommendations based upon strong business acumen and insights including company's products, customers, and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to harmonize demand planning practices.
• Act as a key contact point for demand planning within the organization, effectively communicating across teams and levels.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives that drive continuous improvement in planning processes and systems.
