Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and Quality Control
- BS/MS in Material Science or Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing systems engineering, Chemical engineering or similar)
- Travel internationally to supplier sites - 30%
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts.
- Working knowledge of material science, metallurgy, mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations.
- Experience with the development and evaluation of measurement systems
- Project management experience and a solid understanding of problem solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools
- Experience in a metals manufacturing environment
- Experience with any of the following: Analytical tools such as SEM, EDX, Metallographic Preparation, FTIR, GC/Mass Spec General materials test suite such as tensile, bend, corrosion, fatigue, crack propagation, etc.
- International experience, particularly in Asia is a plus
