Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and statistical software; strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Auditing experience (internal, customer, or registrar audits).
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 75% during the first 90 days.
  • High energy, adaptability, and a passion for hands-on problem solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electronics, ordnance, or energetic materials (powders/propellants) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated competency with APQP tools (D/PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP).
  • Lean manufacturing expertise: Six Sigma or ASQ certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous process improvement in the manufacturing of advanced pyrotechnic and energetic materials for aerospace and defense systems.
  • Lead all quality activities within assigned work cells, collaborating with design engineering, manufacturing, planning, and cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence.
  • Investigate internal and external quality concerns, spearhead root cause analysis, and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Review and inspect documentation for completeness and accuracy, supporting compliance with stringent industry and customer standards.
  • Partner with Supplier Development Engineering to resolve vendor hardware discrepancies and elevate supplier performance.
  • Analyze work instructions and procedures, identifying opportunities for error-proofing and process optimization.
  • Innovate new process controls and champion their sustainment post-implementation.
  • Represent PacSci EMC in customer interactions, presenting lot data packages and First Article Inspections (FAIs) as needed.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on assembly environment, spending most of your time on the production floor.
  • Support internal, customer, and registrar audits, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Participate in daily management meetings and collaborate with program support teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
