About The Position

West Bay Surgery Center is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Largo, FL looking for a full time Materials Manager. The materials manager will be responsible for ordering and receiving supplies while working with a variety of vendor representatives. This person is responsible for ensuring inventory is stocked appropriately available for use. This is a Monday – Friday position with no nights or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, college degree preferred
• Minimum of one year’s experience in purchasing and inventory in a hospital or ASC setting required
• Must be proficient with computer software such as ordering systems, email, and Microsoft Office
• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, vendor reps, management, and other allied health professionals.
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to multitask
• Good time management skills and the ability to work independently are necessary
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting
• More than 50% standing and walking during shift
• May encounter exposure to biological, environmental, and chemical elements (the center adheres to all OSHA regulations)

Nice To Haves

• Surgical technologist experience and knowledge of the OR preferred
