About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (K Level) to join the team located in Hazelwood, MO. Position Responsibilities: Oversees warehouse activities which may include inventory management, chemical management, kitting & fulfillment, shipping, receiving. Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or materials management.
• 3+ years of experience in a complex multi-functional manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience leading teams and team development
• Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Experience in lean processes and initiatives
• Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
• Previous experience with Compass Contract (MRP) System and/or another MRP system
