About The Position

The Materials Management Coordinator (Supply Chain Coordinator) is a first-level management role, typically supervising one or more areas within a department and overseeing two or more professional and/or support staff and their daily activities. While generally not having the authority to hire, fire, or promote, their input on such actions is highly considered, with a main focus on the employees they manage. The coordinator may also coordinate business aspects of a department, including strategy, project management, budget planning and oversight, and financial operations. This role reports to the Site Supply Chain Manager and operates under limited supervision. The Materials Management Coordinator supervises staff, inventory management, and distribution functions for the Medical Center. In situations without direct reports, the coordinator acts independently as the Supply Chain representative for their assigned area, handling stocking, ordering, product disruption mitigation, and receiving.
