About The Position

Kaishan Compressors USA is a leading name in the air compressor industry. We are a diversified industrial manufacturer centering around rotary screw technologies. We streamline our operations by taking direct ownership of the design and manufacturing of our product content. This process enables us to vigorously control the cost and quality of our equipment while leading the way in energy efficiency. Based in Loxley, Alabama our over 130,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility was built using lean manufacturing methodologies to provide the industry's best lead times. This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Good reading comprehension skills.
  • Legible writing skills.
  • Must have accurate counting skills and be must be detail oriented.
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word as well as basic data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification is preferred
  • Two years’ prior warehouse experience is preferred
  • Manufacturing warehouse experience is preferred
  • Basic carpentry skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas, by hand or with power lift truck.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Open crates and other packages.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
  • Ensure all raw materials are appropriately labeled with relevant dates
  • Enter daily transactions in the tracking software
  • Installs bracing, padding and strapping to loaded materials in the vehicle to ensure safe and secure dispatching of ordered material
  • Maintains the workplace and warehouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
