About The Position

THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RECEIVING, STORING, DISPERSING, AND DELIVERING STOCK AND RAW MATERIAL; PROCESSING ORDERS FOR DOMESTIC AND EXPORT SHIPMENTS IN A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE MANNER.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Working knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
• Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.
• Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed.
• Understands and demonstrates comprehension of Manufacturing work instructions.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
• Must be conscientious and very accurate.
• Possess basic computer skills including database software and electronic mail software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains practical knowledge of stockroom, shipping and receiving function.
• Knows and understands at least one of the three primary areas: parts distribution, receiving and shipping function.
• Operates forklift and similar product moving devices.
• Works safely and actively participates in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures while keeping work area clean and free of potential safety hazards.
• Participates in team activities including LEAN projects and activities and other continuous improvement activities.
• Ensures accuracy of inventory records through cycle counts as required.
• Performs total receiving functions for incoming goods and miscellaneous items.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
