Eaton’s Research Labs (ERL) has an exciting Engineering Intern position in the Advanced Manufacturing group to support research and technology development in emerging technology programs. In this role, the individual will be responsible for researching and developing advanced insulation material for power conversion applications. Materials specialization in polymer, potting materials, fillers, nanoparticles/microparticles is a plus. The individual is expected to have a broad working knowledge in power conversion topics such as AC-DC, DC-DC conversion, Semiconductors, Magnetics and Power Electronics. You will work cross functionally across other materials teams, mechanical and electrical engineer within ERL and other Business Units to brainstorm and develop compelling ideas and technologies on material formulation and processing to support power conversion system. The individual is also expected to contribute to technical presentations, journal articles, white papers as well as IP generation within this role. This position is in Southfield, MI.
