The Materials Engineering Intern will support the metallurgical and materials-focused activities that enable repair, manufacturing, and new product introduction for aerospace and industrial gas turbine components. The intern will assist in materials characterization, metallurgical evaluations, coating assessments, process development, and continuous improvement projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to high‑temperature alloys, coatings, and real-world aerospace materials challenges. CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS Strong interest in materials science, metallurgy, or mechanical engineering with a materials concentration Curiosity about high‑temperature alloys, coating systems, and gas turbine component behavior Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional engineering and operations team Good analytical abilities and willingness to learn lab techniques and metallurgical tools Effective communication skills and enthusiasm for hands-on problem solving
