About The Position

Perform Advanced Testing: Conduct standardized and custom tests on dielectric, thermal, rheological properties, and perform FT-IR and GC analysis on polymer compounds and transformer fluids. Develop and Improve Methods: Review industry standards, prepare test programs, and create new methods to ensure accuracy and repeatability. Hands-On Lab Work: Mix rubber compounds, perform physical testing, collect and analyze data, and prepare clear, detailed reports. Support Projects: Assist in defining project scope, scheduling tasks, and executing activities on time while adapting to changing priorities. Drive Continuous Improvement: Enhance test practices for quality and efficiency, and contribute to process improvements. Champion Safety: Maintain and improve lab safety standards, support Environmental, Safety, and Health (MESH) initiatives, and collaborate on material safety enhancements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Comfortable with hands-on testing and data analysis. Familiarity with polymer materials, rubber compounding, or analytical techniques (FT-IR, GC) is a plus. Safety-first mindset and willingness to support environmental and health programs.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable with hands-on testing and data analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution
  • One or more years of experience in a lab environment
  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry or materials science
  • Knowledge in the application of dielectric testing and optical microscopy
  • Experience in FT-IR and GC to analyze organic groups in polymers and raw materials
  • Understanding of statistical methods and Microsoft office

  • Familiarity with polymer materials, rubber compounding, or analytical techniques (FT-IR, GC) is a plus
