Requirements

  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.
  • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders
  • Label, store, and track materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (ERP or inventory system)
  • Identify shortages, damages, or discrepancies and escalate promptly
  • Kit materials by prefab work order, spool, or assembly
  • Stage kits to production areas per schedule and priority
  • Ensure kit completeness before release to the shop floor
  • Support just-in-time material delivery to reduce WIP and congestion
  • Prepare completed prefab assemblies for shipment to job sites
  • Coordinate internal material movement between electrical, welding, paint, and staging areas
  • Assist with outbound documentation and load verification
  • Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled warehouse areas
  • Follow FIFO and material handling best practices
  • Support QA/QC by maintaining material traceability when required
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
