About The Position

The Material Coordinator - Aftermarket Support plays a key role in supporting the Aftermarket Specialist by ensuring accurate movement, tracking, and delivery of aircraft parts and materials. This position assists with inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and coordination of materials needed for aftermarket operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with both production and aftermarket teams. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent based on performance, business needs, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of material handling, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred; aviation or manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Experience with ERP or inventory systems.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, stage, and deliver parts and materials required for aftermarket customer orders, repairs, and service operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, discrepancy reconciliation, and proper organization of storage locations.
  • Assist with receiving activities, including verifying quantities, inspecting parts for damage, and ensuring accurate system entry.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with aviation requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Aftermarket Specialist to prioritize urgent orders, AOG needs, and special customer requests.
  • Prepare outbound shipments by packaging materials, creating shipping documents, arranging carrier pickups, and tracking deliveries.
  • Enter inventory transactions, material movements, and order picks accurately in ERP/Workday systems.
  • Maintain complete and accurate paperwork, including packing lists, receiving reports, and shipping forms.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve material shortages or discrepancies.
  • Communicate proactively on material status, backorders, and issues affecting customer orders.
  • Provide additional support during high‑volume periods, audits, and inventory events.
  • Follow all safety procedures, properly use PPE and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Comply with FAA, company, and regulatory requirements for handling and storing aircraft parts.
