Summary The Material Coordinator is responsible for proper issuance of material and components into production jobs, and maintaining system accuracy of finished goods and work in progress. Additional duties include error identification and resolution, inbound material and component inspections, monthly cycle counting of all finished goods and work in progress, and assistance in resolutions of any variances.

  • Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Issues and scans material and components to production jobs
  • Performs monthly WIP and Finished good cycle counts and assists with resolving variances
  • Participates in all plant-wide physical inventories
  • Performs quality inspections and validates order fulfillment on inbound material and components
  • Experience in forklift operations
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, steel toed boots, goggles, ear plugs, gloves
  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels
  • Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accuracy, under tight timeframes, to meet organizational needs
  • Ability to set goals independently and take initiative to accomplish them
  • Materials or warehouse experience
  • Two + years work experience as a material handler in an industrial setting
  • Proficient with the American Association of Railroads (AAR) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) industry and customer requirements
