About The Position

The Materials Coordinator supports the maintenance planners, first line supervisors, and mechanics on issues related to spare parts, material management and procurement. They provide a single point of contact to resolve issues related to material supply to prevent negative impact to scheduled repair work. This position is a salaried nonexempt, day shift, position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in a related discipline is a plus.
  • A minimum of three years relevant experience with exposure to Maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to SAP or similar computer software with specific knowledge in the maintenance, storeroom, and purchasing module.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proven ability to create, maintain data and use reporting features of office software programs.
  • Ability to influence varying departments to achieve desired plant goals and objectives.
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and team orientation skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • MRP (Manufacturing Requirements Planning): Knowledge of the process, practices and systems used to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
  • Data Entry Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and services for managing data entry and reporting results
  • Office Administration: Ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of local and remote teams.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of and ability to utilize tools, techniques, and processes for gathering, analyzing and reporting data in a particular department or division of a company.
  • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

Responsibilities

  • Adherence to all SHE policies and procedures and INEOS Pigments’ Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules.
  • Serve as liaison between purchasing, warehouse and gatekeeper for planned material and critical expedited parts
  • Procurement of maintenance parts and materials including initiating requisitions, tracking purchase orders, and entering goods receipts
  • Manage the stocking of internal/external rebuild spare parts
  • Assist personnel to obtain tools, materials and services required for planned jobs through execution
  • Perform new equipment and spare parts inventory analysis, set up and description changes
  • Work closely with purchasing to ensure effective procurement processes and internal controls are in place with legally compliant standards
  • Manage critical spares and ordering
  • Manage spares for external and internal rebuilds
  • Update Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Provide planning on P2 and other short term work orders as needed
  • Participate in Maintenance Department duty coverage
  • Participate in team projects, identifying and sharing continuous improvement ideas
  • Provide assistance on plant shutdowns and outages
  • Other duties as assigned
