Job Summary: The Materials Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the materials and supplies necessary for an organization's operations. This includes procurement, inventory control, distribution, and ensuring that materials are readily available when needed to support efficient and uninterrupted workflow. Pay Range: $22.00/hour - $30.00/hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree or college coursework in supply chain management, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in materials coordination, procurement, or inventory management.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors to source required materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of materials, tracking stock levels and usage.
  • Coordinate the distribution process to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.
  • Monitor material consumption and request reorders as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, issuances, and returns.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in handling and storing materials.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, including hazardous material handling and disposal requirements.
  • Prepare shipments for domestic and international shipping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
