Materials Control Lead
About The Position
Highly motivated manufacturing oriented individual, who has experience with stockroom management and manufacturing operations. The Material Control Lead is vital for timely support of production operations and maintaining efficiency and accuracy of on hand inventory to ensure the company can meet its production needs. Knowledge in the following areas are preferred: Managing Inventory : Oversee the storing, receiving, and distributing processes of products and supplies. Manage the flow of materials to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work orders to production. People Leadership : Control the flow of supplies and equipment, track and analyze inventory maintenance, and develop protocols for loss mitigation. Supporting Supply Chain Management : Assist in the continuous quality improvement process and maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. Documentation : Record important documentation in Cetec system and ensure orders are keyed and pulled accurately in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Associtates degree, preferred.
- Aerospace / Government contract experience preferred.
- Forklift experience, highly preferred.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient user of an ERP systems, CETEC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the stockroom team in the performance of daily duties.
- Responsible for monitoring stockroom KPI’s and ensuring employees are trained / cross-trained.
- Responsible for ensuring material properly organized, stored and picked to work orders correctly and timely.
- Responsible for managing cycle count activity and supporting discrepancy investigation
- Identify and provide storage and disposition recommendations for slow moving or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure that inventory has the proper traceability and is monitored for shelf life compliance.
- Coordinate inventory adjustments with accounting and ensure transactions are timely.
- Provide support to ensure Return To Stock (RTS) material is properly re-entered into CETEC.
- Evaluate and perform analysis on material losses in the form of scrap and drop, etc.
- Ensure compliance to all company safety, health and quality requirements.
