We currently have an opening for a Materials Associate / Inventory Clerk for Industrial Physics in our New Albany, Indiana location. JOB SUMMARY: Our materials team is seeking a Materials Associate /Inventory Clerk to perform inventory counts in accordance with established standards and processes.

Requirements

• Must be organized and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Basic knowledge of standard inventory functions.
• Basic demonstrated knowledge of computers.
• Good attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy.
• Be a team player, ready and willing to assist others.
• Participate in LEAN activities to improve efficiency and standard work practices.
• Also be able to read and understand receiving and work order paperwork,
• Participate in problem-solving and improvement teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time.
• Must be flexible and available for overtime where necessary.
• High School or High School equivalent diploma required.
• A minimum of 3-years prior manufacturing work experience

Responsibilities

• Inventory cycle counts.
• Ensure that any defects found during the cycle counting process are identified and segregated.
• Data input/retrieval from 123Insight ERP system (will be trained).
• Ability to Cross train in multiple areas of materials for workflow knowledge in Receiving, Shipping, Work Orders, Kitting etc.
• Work with team members to collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives relating to materials inventory.
• Ensure that all equipment used is maintained in accordance with company protocols
• Perform additional duties beyond the scope of work upon request.
