What You Will Be Doing As the Materials and Process Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, designing, and developing materials and their fabrication processes to support engineering designs.

Requirements

• MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
• 4 year BS degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• MS degree in materials science and engineering, chemistry, or physics
• Experience working in a materials test laboratory

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop material specifications and processing methods for metallic, non‑metallic, and composite materials.
• Design and optimize fabrication and assembly processes aligned with system requirements.
• Perform material property analysis, failure analysis, life prediction, and define design allowables.
• Develop quality engineering specifications and ensure compliance with processing standards.
• Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.
