About The Position

You will be the Materials and Process Engineer Staff for the Materials Engineering team which is responsible for... What You Will Be Doing As the Materials and Process Engineer Staff you will be responsible for providing support to materials engineering in development and production programs focused on low observables, minimizing radar, infrared, and signature profiles. You will analyze, research, design, and develop materials and fabrication processes to meet engineering design requirements.

Requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
BS degree in materials science & engineering, chemistry, physics, or related degree.
Generally has 7+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

10+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Experience with military aerospace materials and process specifications
Experience with the development, evaluation, qualification, flight test, and fielding of low observable materials

Responsibilities

Analyze, research, design, and develop materials and related fabrication processes for low observable applications.
Develop material, processing, and quality engineering specifications and design allowables.
Conduct material property analysis, failure analysis, life predictions, and define requirement specifications.
Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.
Support development and production programs with up to 10% travel as needed.
