About The Position

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Materials and Process Engineer Intern to support the Technology Team. In this role, you will assist and support engineers within the M&P organization. Supporting tasks will include analysis, research, testing to develop materials and their related fabrication and application processes to optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems. Projects will also include pollution prevention control (seeking alternate materials/finishes to eliminate materials of concern) and digital transformation including enhancing the LM material and process database.

Requirements

Pursuing a technical 4 year degree in engineering or science related field.
Familiarity with Chemistry, Physics, and/or Material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials and process specifications including fabrication and assembly processes.
Works well in a collaborative team environment with good written and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Experience CAD, Solid Works, CATIA, and/or Python
