We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Materials Analyst and play an essential role in supporting materials management, purchasing, scheduling, and production operations. In this position, you will collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed decision‑making and improve end‑to-end supply chain performance. You will develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide meaningful visibility for the site’s supply chain team. The right candidate brings strong analytical and technical capabilities, an understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights. This onsite role is based at our Pontiac facility with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:00am to 4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business administration required. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of materials management, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment
  • Proficient with MS Dynamics AX or other MRP/ERP systems, purchase order management, and inventory/material planning
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced proficiency preferred).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across material control, production, and finance teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills to manage multiple deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Work with operational and ERP data to support production readiness, inventory accuracy, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Consolidate and analyze information from multiple sources, ensure data accuracy, and identify issues related to delivery schedules, lead times, and material availability.
  • Investigate root causes behind delays or disruptions and present findings that help leadership make strategic and operational decisions
  • Design and maintain data collection methods and reporting tools, including dashboards in Power BI and advanced Excel models, to track key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, throughput, downtime, and inventory performance
