About The Position

Majestic Steel is seeking a Material Technician to join our team! Our Material Technicians are versatile players on our team- not only do they move steel with powered industrial equipment, they also input information into our system and package material perfectly after it’s been processed. This is the right opportunity for someone who has a strong eye for accuracy and enjoys variety in their day. Schedule 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM, with overtime as required. Requirements

Experience: Minimal manufacturing and/or warehouse experience is required
Skills : Strong attention to detail, ability to operate assigned equipment safely, and effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, mount & dismount equipment, capable of walking, climbing and bending for periods of time, and be comfortable working in hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of manufacturing and/ or warehouse experience
Basic computer skills such as data entry and retrieval
Lift truck operation experience

Responsibilities

Package Materials: You will review order instructions, label and package materials to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Operate Equipment Safely: Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape guns, and banding equipment.
Maintain Quality and Safety: Identify and report any damage or quality issues and advocate for safety by adhering to guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment.
Support Team Efforts: Work collaboratively with production crew to meet assigned goals and complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned
