About The Position

The Material Support Technician performs inventory management, material coordination, and cataloguing at the Hill Air Force Base, UT.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Secret Clearance preferred.
• Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies etc.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good computer skills.
• This position must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing decentralized and decontrolled items (supplies, equipment).
• Assists in inventory requirements determination and forecasting, distribution of materials, procurement authorizations, etc.
• Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
• Processes and expedites supply transactions related to particular organizations serviced.
• Writes item descriptions, using requirements for a range of new items entering the supply channels.
• Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials, for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers to identify duplicate items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
