We have an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Material Servicer Available Immediately Upon Hire: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, EAP, ID Theft, 401K, and PTO.Disclaimer: Shanks Extracts manufactures various products that identify as major food allergens (milk, eggs, tree nuts, wheat, and soybeans) as well as several other food ingredients. Your health and safety are our number one priority, and we will do our best to accommodate within reason.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:The Material Servicer maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages. Material Servicers locate materials and supplies by verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders and providing support to the department team leader and supervisor.

Requirements

  • Electric pallet jack, and Electric pallet stacker experience
  • Forklift Experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English

  • Working effectively and accurately in high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Team Oriented
  • English comprehension including speaking, reading, and writing is required for our business's necessity to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have manual pallet jack experience

Nice To Haves

  • Food Safety production is highly preferred
  • Electric Pallet Jack experience highly preferred (2 to 3 months of experience)

Responsibilities

  • Uphold company policies and procedures including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), production lines, sanitation, cleanliness, and equipment verification.
  • Promote healthy communication between workers and management
  • Maintain workflow by applying steps of the process; monitored supplies; communicate corrections to malfunctions within inventory control points; initiated and encouraged a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Ensure operation of equipment, which includes electric pallet jacks, electric pallet stacker, and report issues
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment for all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Verify that labels, barcodes, and part numbers of raw materials/ finished goods, are accurate and of quality, ensuring that they correspond with the bill of materials.
  • Utilize an RF scanner to stage material to various workstations.
  • Palletize cases according to production packaging layouts.
  • Visually inspects, counts, and wraps materials before returning items to the warehouse.
  • Assist on the production line as needed
  • Ensure accurate counts of materials and finished goods going to the warehouse.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
