Position Summary The mission of Material Technology is to provide Samsung FAB’s with the highest quality raw materials & analysis in the world. We do this by driving efforts in both management & development of our suppliers & materials used. Material Technology takes on responsibilities that seem beyond our scope to make things better for Samsung. We generate and analyze data. We solve problems and get results. We communicate and respond positively and constantly to our customer requests. You would be supporting Fab Operations by ensuring incoming material quality and interacting with material suppliers to follow procedures and satisfy SAS requirements. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Qualifications of new materials and changes including: supplier process change notifications, project planning, execution of qualification, data analysis. Initiate and lead improvement teams both internal and external to Material Technology. Perform experiments, investigations and evaluations utilizing statistical methods. Document all work accurately and promptly in the correct factory systems. Complete projects promptly with strong attention to detail; submit regular and special reports as required to support department KPI. Create SOPs, optimize procedures and mentor the team on such items. Support group Key Metrics Perform other duties as required for factory operation

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or an equivalent discipline
  • >2 years of experience
  • Experience in Semiconductor or high-volume technical manufacturing preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in fab unit part (UP), especially Photo, CMP, and Metals/Sputtering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with global supply chains and multi-site quality process standardization is a plus
  • Experience in audit methodologies, gap analysis, and quality improvement techniques such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification a plus.

Responsibilities
