About The Position

This Material Program Manager (MPM) role is responsible for leading all supply chain tasks in support of increasing supply base capacity and throughput. As an MPM, you will be the liaison between the program and the supply base, working to ensure current future material requirements are met for a franchise production portfolio.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Quality/Engineering, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Experience in material requirements planning (MRP), Supplier Engineering, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
  • Ability to support complex product production & development efforts and managing multiple conflicting priorities
  • Excellent reporting/communication skills and ability to demonstrate RTX Leadership Behaviors.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of material strategies, material forecasts, and own the supplier management process to include MRP, Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, and supplier performance
  • Perform financial planning, Supplier Sales, and EACs
  • Ensuring suppliers meet cost and schedule requirements
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase production capacity and/or decrease material lead-time
  • Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
  • Planning and executing sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where process.
  • Driving Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management and communicate customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
  • Participating in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance.
  • Partner with engineering team to process Drawing and STAMP updates in PDM
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
