This opportunity is for a Material Program Manager (MPM) within the ASDS portfolio, SSPS business unit in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will bridge the Supply Chain and Program teams and managing materials provided by suppliers. The MPM is responsible for shaping, developing, and executing the strategies and objectives of the product line to meet cost, quality, and scheduled targets for the program and business unit, ensuring that products are delivered on time to the numerous end customers. The MPM will have the opportunity to lead projects, manage budgets, and resolve issues and conflicts. Our supplier network spans small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors that manufacture high-level assemblies, a range of commodities, and materials varying in complexity. In this fast-paced environment, you must be able to possess excellent time management/prioritization skills. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are also important. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management. You will be accountable to ensure suppliers to MRP supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of Supplier Engagement Strategy activities including ensuring appropriate budget, resource, schedule, and execution. You will manage the supplier’s backlog and ensure requirements are prioritized appropriately and made visible. You will be responsible for the collection and analysis of performance metrics, and development of Estimate at Completion (EAC). You will collaborate, influence, and frequently communicate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various departments within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other support functions to ensure restart requirements, production requirements, material challenges, and competing priorities are successfully managed.
