The Missiles & Defense Material Program Manager (MPM) is a strong leader with a demonstrated track record of delivering outstanding supply chain performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the creation of the material program strategies and plans, driving efforts to achieve material sales goals, and delivering efficiencies for the Tomahawk Program in Tucson, AZ. Demonstrated experience in cost account management, managing budgets, and managing suppliers to aggressive schedules would be advantageous. This successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills and should be able to lead efforts, including budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain final DoD Secret Clearance
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Earned Value Management Experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management
  • Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of development
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Negotiations experience

Responsibilities

  • Execution of the Supply Chain Program Strategy and Plan Execution, and reporting of material and labor budgets, earned value management, estimate at completion reporting, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments
  • Plan and execute supplier and subcontractor negotiations and performance management
  • Plan and manage a dynamic material and services delivery forecast
  • Generate supplier risk and opportunity management plans, including Six Sigma activities
  • Support leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews
  • Lead supplier assessments, sourcing strategies, and leading proposal development activities
  • Must be able to support travel requirements as needed
  • Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role
