About The Position

You will be the Material & Process Engr for the Materials Engineering team which is responsible for designing, analyzing, and advancing material and process solutions for aerospace structures, systems, and subsystems. As the Material & Process Engr you will be responsible for translating advanced material science into real‑world aerospace applications. Your responsibilities will include: Analyzing, researching, designing, and developing materials and related fabrication processes to optimize performance in structures, systems, and subsystems. Applying chemistry, physics, and material‑behavior principles to create specifications for metallic, non‑metallic, and composite materials and their processing. Developing material property models, design allowables, and quality‑engineering specifications. Conducting failure analyses, life‑prediction studies, and defining requirement specifications for components and systems. Reviewing and approving subcontractor material‑processing procedures to ensure compliance and performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Composite Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or Corrosion Engineering
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Aerospace Metallic, Nonmetallic, and or Hazardous materials
  • Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
