About The Position

Responsible for picking products which have been asked for by production. Delivers the picked orders to the delivery platform of the warehouse they are working in. Uses racking systems and forklifts to pull order from shelves. Ensure the necessary paperwork is completed. Must have ability to operate RF Scanner during picking process. Confirms the accuracy of each order. Reporting any issues to receiving lead or supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to be cross trained.
Ability to lift 20lbs when necessary.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment without constant supervision.
Reliable, strong work ethic
Overtime required as needed.

Responsibilities

Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.
Experienced with RF handheld scanners preferred.
Must mark containers and label them appropriately with picked order information.
Ensure that the picked product conform to the order sheet/RF Scanner provided.
Isolate damaged items and report it to receiving lead or supervisor.
Consolidate boxes and bins of the same item.
Ensure that the quantity specified is picked by counting it or placing it on a scale.
Report all bin accuracy issues to Receiving supervisor.
Meet standard of at least 8 - 10 orders picked daily.
Follow the picker procedure per the guidelines set in OPM.
Comply with 6’s Procedure (Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
Move completed orders to designated areas.
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace, cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.
